Iteman 4 produces detailed psychometric reports based on classical test theory. Rascal is a Rasch estimation program that can center the analysis on difficulty, for a true Rasch scale, or ability. Xcalibre provides item response theory (IRT) calibration - with the most user-friendly interface available. TestInfo uses IRT methods to compute expected test information, estimated test reliability, and to help detect flaws in a test prior to administration. It can also evaluate the potential usefulness of adaptive administration of a test. Alternatively, you can request the IRT Form Building Tool for assembling parallel forms. System Requirements: Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7 Demonstration Version Although there is no demo version of the complete Item and Test Analysis Package, there are demo versions of its three main programs — Iteman 4, Rascal, and Xcalibre. Please follow the links to these programs above to access their demo versions. Licenses ITAP licenses are determined by the use of the program. Iteman 4 entails an annual renewal for non-academic users; the remaining programs are permanent. Academic ($699 one-time cost) - The software will be used at an accredited college or university for research or teaching purposes only. Government/Non-profit ($999 first year; $299 renewal) - The software will be used at a governmental or a non-profit organization, or by a school district or college or university for analyzing the data from its testing programs. The use of the program must also be non-profit; that is, if the organization is non-profit but conducts consulting activities for other organizations, the use is commercial. Commercial ($1499 first year; $599 renewal) - The software will be used for commercial purposes, for example, in the course of consulting in test development and psychometrics.
