Fernando Austria, PhD, earned his doctorate in Psychology with a focus on psychometrics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He completed his undergraduate studies at the National Polytechnic Institute, majoring in Educational Psychology. His research centers on the intersection of artificial intelligence and psychometrics.
With over a decade of experience at the National Institute for Educational Assessment in Mexico, Fernando is now collaborating with the state of Aguascalientes to develop innovative assessments in mathematics and language for K-12 education. His expertise in methodology, statistics, and psychometrics has led to the publication of a CONACyT-recognized book in 2014, along with three book chapters and numerous research articles.
A sought-after speaker at national and international conferences, Fernando has also served as an invited reviewer for several prestigious journals. Formerly a Full Professor of Statistical Models and Qualitative Analysis at the Metropolitan Autonomous University, he is currently collaborating with the Mental Health and Addictions research group at INSP in Mexico.
